Quality Control photos — universally called QC photos in the W2C community — are warehouse inspection images taken by ACBuy staff when your item arrives at their facility. These photos are your only opportunity to verify product quality, sizing accuracy, and condition before the item is packed and shipped internationally.

The importance of thorough QC review cannot be overstated. Once a package crosses international borders, returns become extremely difficult, expensive, and often impossible. A five-minute careful review of QC photos can save you from receiving a product that does not match your expectations and having no practical recourse.

ACBuy provides standard QC photos free of charge for every order. These typically include four to eight images covering the front, back, sides, and key detail areas. For complex items like sneakers or structured bags, you can request additional photos of specific areas through the order notes or the warehouse messaging system.

Sneaker QC Checklist

Sneakers require the most detailed QC inspection of any product category. Start with the overall silhouette — does the shoe's shape match the authentic profile? Common issues include a toe box that is too rounded or too pointed, a midsole that is too thick or too thin, and an ankle collar that sits at the wrong height.

Examine the midsole paint carefully. Look for consistent coverage without drips, chips, or color bleeding between sections. The outsole pattern should be crisp and deep — shallow tread patterns indicate lower-quality rubber compounds that will wear quickly.

Check the tongue label and insole branding. Font weight, spacing, and color should match reference images from the community. Stitching on the upper should be even and tight with no loose threads or skipped stitches. Finally, verify that both shoes in the pair are identical — asymmetry between left and right is a common quality control failure.

Clothing QC Checklist

For clothing items, begin by verifying the overall dimensions against the size chart you referenced when ordering. Ask ACBuy to measure the chest width, body length, and sleeve length if these are not visible in the standard photos.

Fabric quality is assessed through texture and drape in photos. A heavyweight hoodie should show visible structure and body. Thin, limp fabric in photos almost always translates to a disappointing feel in person. Check for pilling, uneven dyeing, or fabric defects visible in close-up shots.

Embroidery and print quality are critical for branded items. Embroidery should be dense and three-dimensional, not flat or sparse. Screen prints should have crisp edges without bleeding or cracking. Check that graphic placement matches the reference — off-center logos or misaligned prints are common issues in lower-tier batches.

Bags and Accessories QC Checklist

Leather goods require attention to material texture, edge finishing, and hardware quality. Genuine leather shows natural grain variation and subtle imperfections — perfectly uniform texture often indicates synthetic material regardless of what the seller claims.

Hardware inspection is critical for bags. Zippers should move smoothly without catching. Buckles and clasps should have clean casting without pitting or rough edges. Metal hardware should have consistent plating without thin spots that will wear through quickly.

Check stitching at stress points — handles, strap attachments, and zipper ends. These areas receive the most mechanical stress and are where quality differences between batches are most apparent. Bar-tack reinforcement at these points is a positive quality indicator.
